Setting Printing Presets on a Mac

Setting print jobs to Hold on a Mac

You can setup your print jobs to hold on the Ricoh Multi Function Printers from your mac.  These settings are similar in other programs, but we show two specific examples below.

  1. Click here to see the basic Apple Print Menu configuration
  2. Click here to see the Printers Quick Release Menu
  3. Click here to see the configuration in Google Chrome
  4. Click here to see the configuration in Adobe Acrobat

Basic Apple Print Configuration

1) Begin the print process by opening the standard Apple Print Menu (CMD + P)

2) Select the "Printer Options" > "Job Log" options in the Apple Print Menu.

3) Change the "Job Type" options in the Apple Print Menu.  You must enter a User ID. It does not have to be an FSU or MED ID. Your name is fine.

There are various types of Job Types you can choose from.
The "Hold Print" option will print the job to the printer and it will be in the "Quick Print Release" section of the Printer's Menu (more pictures below).

The "Locked Print" option will allow you to enter a password that will be required to release the print job from the Printer's Menu.
