Poster Printing Rules

OIT is happy to offer Poster Printing Services to the College of Medicine. Posters are printed for you free of charge, but typically cost the College between $15 - $30 for each print. Because of the high cost to print posters we have implemented the following Poster Printing Rules.

1.  All posters must be submitted with no less than 5 business days' notice for posters to be printed and ready for pickup or for shipping. If you require shipping of a poster from Main Campus (Thrasher), please make sure to account for the time required for transit.

2.  Only 2 paper options available. Matte or Glossy.

  • Samples of the two types are posted in the hall by the OIT suite in G-102.
  • You may select the option "Use IT's judgement" and it will be printed on whatever paper we select.

3.  Maximum poster size is 42"x72".  (dimensions can be rotated to be portrait or landscape)

  • Posters submitted larger than this size will be scaled down as accurately as possible. IT is not responsible for any distortions to text/images in the downscaling process. Please verify that your submission is the proper size
  • Posters will be printed at the size that you requested. Please be accurate with your request.
  • Please make sure that your original document is created at the size that you would like it printed. Enlarging an original file type WILL result in blurry images and text. If you would like help checking your original file's size, please ask IT
  • A display of common poster sizes is posted by the OIT suite in G-102, if you would like to see how big it will be.

4.  No reprints

  • You are responsible for printing the draft and ensuring accuracy.
  • If you need to make a change to the poster after submission:
    • Contact IT immediately at 850-644-3664 to make sure we haven't printed it yet
    • IT may have you cancel and resubmit your request, which may reset the 5 business day notice
  • Please check your original file's dimensions and select the correct dimensions on the Poster Submission Form. Contact IT if you need help finding this information.

5.  Recommended submission file type is .PDF as it is a universal, standard file format.

  • Publisher and PowerPoint files are allowed, but understand that if you use any non-standard fonts with these file types that they may change on the final poster.
  • IT is not responsible for errors due to the file format. We will do our best to catch problems before printing and notify you, but make no guarantees.

6.  No personal posters/photos will be accepted.

7.  If IT is unable to print your poster in a timely manner, we recommend contacting:
