Ricoh FAQ

Q: Where’s my print job?
A: Press the “Quick Print Release” icon and find your name.
This printer is configured to hold all print jobs until manually released to help eliminate waste.
If you’ve selected the “Locked Print” option, you will be prompted to enter the PIN on the printer to view the print job.

Q: How do I switch between features?
A: Press the “Home” icon at the bottom to return to the main screen.

Q: How do I scan?
A: Press the “Scanner” icon and select your destination.
If you need a scan folder added, please contact the Service Desk.

Q: How do I remove email encryption from my scan?
A: Press the “Email Scan *UNENCRYPTED*” icon and scan as normal.
Using this unencrypted option removes the email encryption from scans, in order to make them easier to share with others. This feature is NOT acceptable for scanning documents containing Private or Protected data.

Q: How do I scan to a file share?
A: Select the “Scanner” button, then select “To Folder” from the dropdown in the top-left

Q: How do I Fax?
A: Press the “Fax” icon and then the “+ Add” button.
Make sure to dial “9” before the number for non-FSU numbers, followed by “1” and the area code if long-distance. You may choose additional options before sending. Faxing is only available on some copiers. Ask your department rep or IT if you don't know if Fax is available.

Q: How do I copy?
A: Press the “Copy” button and select your options.
This will default to Black and White. Also make sure to select the appropriate 1-sided or 2-sided options for your original.

Q: Why did my print come out black/white, double sided?
A: These are the default print settings. Go into the printer preferences in your print settings to make adjustments.
These settings were selected to minimize printing costs for the CoM. You can make changes for individual print jobs, but you cannot set different default options.
