ThreatLocker - How to request elevation, or administrative privileges

Overview:

The following process should allow you to gain administrator access to files, when appropriate, quickly and easily by using the built-in ThreatLocker agent.

NOTE:  Submitted requests are evaluated and responded to Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM

Process:

  1. If you encounter a administrator password box when working, you can select the highlighted Request ThreatLocker Elevation button

  2. When you select the button, the box will change to allow you to interact with it

  3. Your email address will pre-populate.  Please leave that as it is so that you will be notified when you can run the program
  4. In the box, please provide as detailed an explanation of why the program requires administrative rights and it is needed as you can.
    1. NOTE: No elevation request will be approved without a reason offered.
  5. Then click Send Request; a notice will be sent to OIT and will be processed as soon as possible.
  6. If approved you will receive an email and a pop up notification letting you know that you can run the program
  7. If denied, you will receive an email and a pop up informing you of why.
