Check and Resolve Sync Center Conflicts

  1. Start by opening Control Panel from your Start Menu

  1. Change the "View by" in the top to either Large Icons or Small Icons
  2. Click "Sync Center" in the list
  3. Look at the "Progress" bar. It will tell you the last time a sync has occurred, as well as if there are any Conflicts
    1. If a sync hasn't occurred in a while, click the "Sync" or "Sync All" button at the top to initiate a sync. Note: It's important to resolve conflicts prior to syncing.
  4. If there are any conflicts, click on the "View Sync Conflicts" button on the left
  5. Click on a conflict and then click the "Resolve" button. It's best to do these one at a time.
  6. It may prompt you asking how you'd like to proceed with each conflict. You can choose which version to keep of each file. If you ever don't know, you can choose to keep both, and one will be renamed with your computer's name appended to the end, and you can sort out which one to delete later.

If your sync center says "Disconnected" or indicates some other error, you may need to check if DirectAccess is working. Click here for a guide on DirectAccess.

If you still cannot get it synced and working properly, please Enter an IT Service Request.
