Customize icon pane for Outlook Mail, Calendar, People and My tasks
On 07/11/2023 Microsoft released a Feature Update to our Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel of Office 365.
The Feature Update introduced a visual change to Outlook that moved the icons for mail, calendar, people and my tasks from the lower left corner of Outlook to a column on the left side.
After the Feature Update is applied and you launch Outlook for the first time you will see this:
To revert this change so that the icons are back at the bottom left, please to the following:
- With Outlook open - click "File" - "Options".
- Select "Advanced" when the Outlook Options dialogue box opens.
- Uncheck the "Show Apps in Outlook" under the Outlook panes section.
- Click OK. You will be prompted to restart Outlook.
- After restarting Outlook, the icons will be in the lower left hand corner, like this:
