ThreatLocker - What to do if I get denied/blocked from running something?

Overview: 

What you can expect and do if you can't execute a file because of a ThreatLocker block/deny.

NOTE:  Submitted requests are evaluated and responded to Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM

Process:

  1. If your computer tries to execute a program that isn't recognized or approved, you will receive one or two dialog boxes, as seen here:

  1. NOTE:
    1. The box labeled #1 will always be displayed if you try to execute something that ThreatLocker hasn't Learned or is explicitly denied.
    2. Box #2 will come up if the program has not been learned on the computer and gives you the option to request approval.
  1. If you ONLY receive the top left box:
    1. Either the program is explicitly denied at FSUMED, or
    2. The "Don't Show Again" box was previously clicked for this program.  You can reset this my right clicking the ThreatLocker tray icon and selecting "Reset History"

  2. If you wish to execute the file, please click the "Request Access" button. You will be presented with a popup that looks like this:

      1. Message Box: Please explain what the program is and the purpose for requesting it.  Only requests with messages entered will be processed by OIT.
      2. Note: Your email address is prepopulated and the box to attach a copy is selected.  Please do not alter these fields
  3. OIT will be notified of this request and will respond as soon as feasible
  4. You will receive an email and a pop-up notification when:
    1. Your request is approved so that you can run the program, or
    2. Your request was not approved and a reason will be provided
